It is very dusty here in Texas and gear deserves all the protection you can provide. Think I will go ahead & make one for the Bat pre & CD player as well even though it is in a closed cabinet when not in us, there is still plenty of dust in the cabinet. I build so many different projects at work, I find it difficult to get motivated even with something I love as much as my stereo gear. But like most projects it was fun once I got started. I used to love the original show (really telling my age here)..lol My cousin and i would pin a towel around our necks for capes...so innocent fun compared to some things kids do now.
