Need a receiver for this unknown set of speakers. Pls help:

I have 2 floor-standing klipsch speakers that must be close to 15-20 years old, along with a subwoofer. I can't figure out which models they are, so I've posted links to photos of them below:

I also have an old pair of Mitsubishi speakers that I want to use as rears, with an impedence of 6 ohms: DIATONE DS-32BmkII

What I'm hoping to find is the best receiver I can find to power these speakers for around $200. Would the Harmon Kardon AVR 247 be a good fit with these speakers? I'd really appreciate any advice or suggestions the audiophiles here might have ..

The stero mains are Forte, from 1987. Finish is Walnut, Oil I believe.

The sub is an RW10

Others will chime in on other receivers, and I have no first hand experience with Fortes... BUT I have use a NAD T763 AVR and NAD components (stereo) with Cornwalls, La Scalas, Speakerlab-K (Klipschorn clones) and Quartets and I find NAD to be a nice match for horn-loaded speakers. The T763 was considered high-end but I've seen second hand examples going for $200 - $250.

You will be just fine. I had the older model 240 HK and Fortes and it worked just fine. Hook up, relaxed and enjoy the Music.

Fortes are a fantastic speaker. Excellent bang for your Buck ! Try listening without the Subwoofer and you'll be blown away at how deep the Fortes go.................Enjoy !

Welcome to the forum. You got a nice pair of Forte's.

Here is a very capable receiver that has all the bells and whistles you need and mates very well with Klipsch. Warranty also. Do not be afraid of refurbs.

Thanks everyone for the advice. And the Marantz receiver looks great but there is no way I can afford that right now .. I'm a law student with loan debt who basically has to turn tricks to survive. Around $200 (perhaps slightly more) is really as much as I can part with.
