jimmyjo
It's been good and solid for a few years, but now this surge absorber is fried. Any suggestions for sourcing this? many many thanks, Tom
tube fanatic
Go to this page: http://www.edcon-components.com/ProtectionDevices/500617/TVR-D_200610.pdf Scroll down to the TVR-D series and you will see the specs for the 14181. Check with your favorite parts distributor to find an equivalent MOV which you can substitute.
jimmyjo
thanks. I can't seem to find anyone who stocks this part. Trying to avoid setting this thing out on the street.
tube fanatic
Use my previous link and write down the specifications of the MOV you want to replace including its dimensions. Go to: http://www.newark.com/jsp/content/printCatalog.jsp?cat=catalog128&page=379&display=zoom You will find an enormous selection of MOVs from which you can choose a replacement with virtually identical specs. Be sure to change all of them to the new type. You need to check your space allowance as some of the replacements may be larger than the 14181.
