thebes
As the song says: Get out and Vote, Get out and Vote, it will put a lump of Glory in your Thraot. Vote early and often actually comes out of Boston politics from "The Last Hurrah" era. Voted then worked the polls as a Dem party volunteer for four chily hours. mowntnbkr
Thugs?, hardly, I am more concerned about the idiots in California.
oldtimer
Apparently the guy who crunched the girl's head with his foot said in an interview that he did it because his back is bad (which would make it dangerous for him to bend down and start punching her). Can't we all just take a joke? http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20020717-503544.html
WS65711
This thread appears to be turning political rather quickly............. Anyone who has seen the entire video of that incident will notice that it begins with the woman rushing in on the vehicle that carried the candidate. In this world of crazy people it's not out of the realm of possiblity that she could have carried a gun or some other weapon. You can hardly blame the candidate's supporters for acting quickly and asking questions later.

That's a good point and Lauren Valle does appear to be a professional acivist/protestor but I think anyone would agree that the reaction of the guys that pushed her down was over the top and thug-like. It's also ironic to see the button that one of them was wearing. I hate the way politics is getting so hyperbolic - I'm glad the election is over and done.
