mciavarini
Would the KSP-300 main speakers sound better or louder if I wire them with the separate LFE cables or bi-wire? If so, i can't figure it out. I have a Denon AVR-5803 amp. I don't understand how to wire it from my amp to the speaker. Do you know? Frank1938
That question has been addressed many times here. You can do a search for bi-wiring and find lots of reading to do. Most people here agree that it is a waste of money. But, if you want to try it, run two wires from the left speaker tap and two wires from the right speaker tap on your receiver, hook one cable to the LF and one to the HF for each speaker. Be sure to remove the LF-HF connector first and be careful of positve and negative connections. Frank
mciavarini
what i am confused is the speakers have RCA jacks for bi-wire. Why do i need more speaker wires? I do not understand where the wires go on the speakers...
Frank1938
This should help you: "I just want to comment further on the business end of the speaker, its rear panel, shown in a line drawing here. All inputs and controls are on the black metal amplifier panel, with Level and LFE Level controls at top, RCA inputs and outputs (high-pass to subwoofer) below, and the speaker inputs farther down; these latter are doubled for bi-wiring or bi-amping, and are plastic-nut, gold- plated types." mciavarini
oh so the RCA jacks are for bi-amp only. To bi-wire you need double speaker wires to do so. Is this right?
Frank1938
Attached is a copy of your manual. It explains the different configurations. Hope this helps. Frank KSP-300C5S5[1].pdf
mikecq
I have the Denon AVR-2400 and noticed there is another set of terminals for front bi wire. This is what you would use for the high frequency side. Remember to remove the terminal bridges.
T2K
Run a low level RCA cable from your receiver sub out to the LFE input on the speaker panel. Run speaker wire from your receiver to your speakers with the jumpers in place on the speakers. Set your receiver sub menu to 'low +LFE'. It don't get any better. K.
