Replacement woofer for SR-70 (Hps4000) Speaker

Hello everybody,

I obtained 4 SR-70 speakers last week ,part of HPS4000 system (for free !).

2 are OK ; 1 has a damaged cone and the other a toasted woofer voice coil.

I think the woofers were made by eminence but maybe a klipsch model would suit also.

Woofer markings are:12751 8 ohm 67-8851 G5

Can anyone confirm this?,should i take the risk to recone with a K-24 recone?

Many thanks in advance,i know you like pics so i did include them.

Hi Jorre;

That speaker is an Eminence driver I took the numbers off the picture and I can give you a price on reconeing it for you. I will get back to you tomorrow with the Info and if you want it done just contact me and we will set it up. We use only factory or very high quality aftermarket recone kits at the customer discresion. thoes speakers were made in MA. I am from MA.

Good luck Joey B KP 600

I want to thank everybody for the quick and big response to my questions.

Think a have to change my profile to a female called "Nana" from France.

Pro audio and electronics is more than rebuilding crossovers and sell them at high prices.

What a waste of time....Again..

Find a local recone shop with a solid reputation and have them recone it. They will be able to match it up closed enough. If you tell them you have a working one they can measure the good one to insure a good match. If you are realy concerned recone both woofers so they match. Best regards Moray James.
