MikeFord Posted August 20, 2011 Posted August 20, 2011 hmmmm.... the ones I already own. GOOD ANSWER ! Except for money or space, why shouldn't it be ? Lack of money and space pretty much cover everything. Space I think mostly, since patience will allow acquiring a variety of nice speakers. There should be a museum some place where people could visit to hear what some of these classic systems can do. Quote
cubdog Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 Everyone should hear DQ10s at some point. Dispite their limitations they are remarkable speakers. cubdog Quote
tromprof Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 How about a little love for Acoustic Research speakers. I inherited my parents AR-11s a couple of years ago, and they sound quite nice with a similar vintage (mid to late 70s)Yamaha amp driving them. Quote
Rivernuggets Posted August 23, 2011 Posted August 23, 2011 I grew up listening to my parents' AR-3s. They still have them and asked if I'd like to have them. I gave them a pair of Klipsch RF-3s and they're ready to let go of the ARs. I feel weird 'de-throning' the pair that was always in my parents living room, in the same spot. Quote
