MWM hook up

Maybe a QSC RMX1850HD would be what you want, I bought an almost new one recently for less than $400 (including shipping).

The RMX1850HD has the same heatsink, fans, and number of outputs as the RMX2450, but is optimized for 900W/2Ω continuous.

How is that Peavey IPR 1600 when you slam it?

The Peavey I just hooked up in place of the Crown xti 1000 on the LF haven't had a chance to hit it hard yet but at moderate levels has more than the xti . I'll push it tomorrow or the next day I've been converting all the 1/4 jacks to speakons on the Peavey stack I just got the FH-1's the MB-2's and the MF1-X's. Thanks

Well I pushed the Peavey today and man for a 7 lbs this is a great amp and at $269. a great deal at 800 watts per channel at 2 ohms I pushed it to the point that the XTi's fans would have come on it stayed cool even though the Peaveys amps fan is on all the time but wasn't warm to the touch at all the Crown Xti gets warm to the touch when running the MWM's.

I have been happy running my MWMs with a QSC PLX2 1104. I have a PLX2 1804 for my subs...........and I really like these amps. Clean and quiet. Plenty of power. I had a pair of Crown XTI-1000.........and we run the 2000s at church. They hiss like a mother! Sorry, those are just not very good cheap amps. I couldn't live with them at all and got rid of them. If you are not using the DSP, then there is much better out there used for the same money.

Is that on the new models as the older MWM's had K-43's

Go to your pdf under impedeance, go to MWM, go to each driver.....it says 8 ohms. A k-46 is an 8 ohm version of the cast frame k-43.

Crown XTI..........It's the A/D & D/A.............it's poorly done and causes the unit to amplify a lot noise. I know a lot of people use these (a lot), because they are cost effective, have built-in DSP, and say CROWN on them. So I don't mean to piss people off..............but they are not up to the snuff of the Crown name.

When I go to church I can hear the hiss all the way at the back of the church (I run the board). There is nothing I can do..........Frankly it sucks and is embarassing. It's disruptive to the service as well. It's that audible. They'll be on the shelf as soon as our next music donation comes in. We will be going to QSC amps.

Audible noise in a system has always been my pet peave. I know it doesn't bother some folks. I'm just too picky I guess.

Sure wish I knew this about the Crown Xti's before I purchased them.

I'm sorry....I must be missing out on something. I have five XTI 1000's (all bought at the same time and what a deal it was.....!) They have driven MCM 1900's four way with HISM's and also three sets of KP 362/682 (2 over1) active through two DriveRack 260's. I'm just not hearing this Hiss....................maybe I'm deaf after spending 15 years as a starter at a drag strip, but on my systems the Hiss isn't there. Granted, they are cheap but they have done the job for me. They have driven these systems for the last three years, without a problem. Come to Woodruff, SC next May and you can certainly hear them......[:D]

YOUR milage may vary.............................
