Mancave Man
I'm thinking about modding my 1988 Khorns with the Fastrac Horns. Does anyone have these and can can give me a review on them?
oscarsear
I own a pair of Dave's 'eliptrac' horns. They are running with the 2 inch JBL 2482 midrange drivers on a set of Khorns. Seriously nice sounding and I mean across any genre of music. Dave was great to work with and AlK also recommends his products. The eliptracs are well built using methods and materials devised by well known audiophiles.
Johnny's Jill
I love my Fastracs huge improvement over the original K-400 horn. Build quality is excellent. Craig
BE36
I second that. I also have Stereo-Lab full tractrix and I can not hear a differnce to Dave Fastracks. Dave's in two planes may help tame floor and cieling reflections versus full sphericals.
Mancave Man
Thanks for the replies. I have already modded my Khorns with ALK Universal Crossovers & Crites CT-125 tweeters. I hope the Fastracs will work well with this setup.
RFP
EZ... If you want to squeeze all the real magic out of your modded K-horns, you might consider Al's extreme slope networks... unbelievable! Rob
babadono
EZ, I recently moded my K horns with Dave's Eliptrac squawker with adapter to 1 inch (kept the K55 driver) and Dave's Contrac tweeter lens with a B & C DE10 driver. Also replaced the crossover with ALK extreme slope network. Phenomenal! I hear things in recordings I did not hear before. Beware you will be able to tell good recordings from bad ones. Guest David H
Thanks Guys, I am pleased you like the products. Dave Harris
babadono
I completed the mods to my La Scala set as well this weekend ( KHorns completed a few weeks ago). Dave's tractix squawker horn lens, Bob Crites CT125 tweeter, ALK's extreme slope crossover. Whew! I'm in horn heaven. My thanks and gratitude to those who take their pleasure (and make a little profit too) in making this level of quality of sound reproduction possible. babadono
Mancave Man
I've always considered Heritage Klipsch speakers to be the Harleys of the speaker world. No matter how old they are you can always find parts and mods for them.
Autobocs
I love my Fastracs, best upgrade I ever did to my Lascala's. I prefer my Fastlane Cornscala's overall. PB
Johnny's Jill
Paul welcome to the forums, I thought you would never join. BTW, the Skyline looks great, is that the one Dave did the engine compartment on? Craig 73.
