Browninggold
I have 3 RF7IIs across the front and RS62IIs for surrounds. I am going to use RB81IIs for height and wide channels. What can I use to mount these speakers so they tilt and aim down without falling? Any manufactured stands out there for these large bookshelves. Thanks
Moderators Youthman Posted January 13, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 13, 2012 I used these mounts and they worked great. Very sturdy and had a great build quality. You can see photos of the mounts in my build thread here.

Browninggold
Youthman- So you had to screw into the speaker. I believe I used to have those mounts I used w/ Aperion 532 bookshelfs and it slid out on me. Didn't really want to screw into the speaker but if I have to. Any other ideas? Moderators Youthman Posted January 13, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 13, 2012 Youthman- So you had to screw into the speaker. I REALLY didn't want to screw into the RB-35's but I figured that I would rather have 2 tiny screws in the bottom of the speakers than a dead child when it landed on their head. There are probably some makeshift ways of securing the unit that wouldn't require screws.
Browninggold
I was looking at these mounts. I sent questions to Klipsch to see if the screw inserts on the bottom of the RB81IIs line up. Wondering if this mount would work: http://www.omnimount.com/products/speaker_mounts/stainless_steel_series/30.0_wb/
abjonesiii
I built my own. I couldn't find anything I thought was suitable to hold the weight of RB-61's over a long time period reliably. Basically I built a triangle frame bolted to the ceiling. Disassembled the RB-61's, drilled some wholes and ran lag bolts up into the frame I built. ( I know I lost a lot of folks on the drill holes part, but they are just surrounds not a $2,000 tower) NOTE: yes I know they are upside down. That was intentional. Point was to get the tweeters away from the hard ceiling to minimize an immediate reflection.
