Dengnath
I just for my 82 ii's yesterday and today i was messing around with them and i swear the the top woofer is moving more than the bottom. Does this sound right for a 2-way speaker that the woofers would put out different tones?
gnatnoop
although i'm not an rf-82 expert, i'd bet that one woofer is active and the other is a passive radiator, off the top of my head.

Nope, both active with same crossover point. I am no expert either but I think I would have someone check that out. Bill
Dengnath
so on your 83's all there are making the same amount of output?
willland
so on your 83's all there are making the same amount of output? I have RF-63's but they too are 2-way speakers that all woofers crossover to the horn tweeter at the same frequency. Same frequencies are reproduced simultaneously from all 3 woofers. Now the RC-64 is essentially a 2.5-way speaker(tapered array) where all 4 woofers reproduce frequencies up to 1150Hz and at that point 2 woofers drop off. The remaining 2 woofers crossover to the horn tweeter at 1800Hz. Bill
