Glad to see your still kicking, good luck with school . [H]

When I first read this thread I remembered months ago there was a similar thread.

So I went to search for it, [:o] you would not believe how many post were out there before these, asking about Duke, I ended up just reading a bunch of old stuff and never got back to what I started.

I have 40 hours a week in Homework due to law school..

do I want be an Attorney ... NOT

but have won 6 Cases, w/o benefit of that JD

That's impressive. Your studying must be paying off. Sounds like you'll make a good attorney.

I took the LSAT a few years ago & the logic section kicked my *** so no school for me. My closest friends are lawyer's so I tried.

Good luck.......nice to see you post again.

Wow great to see you back Duke.

I bought a pair of those KLF 30's myself because of SWL and they do indeed rock!

The Crown K2 moves those 12's nicely.[Y]

What kind of set up are you running these days Duke?

Wait just a minute here. The Duke hops on a Harley, guitar in hand and heads off to Mexico and returns as...

A LAWYER!!!!!!!!!!!!

And you're welcoming him back with open arms.

Shame on Duke, shame on you all.

But what's a Thebes to do? Punishment, yes PUNISHMENT, that's the ticket.

This will teach you, a set of lyrics so craftily insidious it will prevent the Dukester from studying and infest your scrawny little minds for the next few days, if not weeks.

Ha,ha, ha (evil cackle)!

When Liberty Valance rode to town the womenfolk would hide, they'd hide
When Liberty Valance walked around the men would step aside
'cause the point of a gun was the only law that Liberty understood
When it came to shootin' straight and fast---he was mighty good.

>From out of the East a stranger came, a law book in his hand, a man
The kind of a man the West would need to tame a troubled land
'cause the point of a gun was the only law that Liberty understood
When it came to shootin' straight and fast---he was mighty good.

and then the rest. after all, the Duke's really a JBL guy, when you get right down to it.

The love of a girl can make a man stay on when he should go, stay on

Just tryin' to build a peaceful life where love is free to grow

But the point of a gun was the only law that Liberty understood

When the final showdown came at last, a law book was no good.

Alone and afraid she prayed that he'd return that fateful night, aww that night

When nothin' she said could keep her man from goin' out to fight

>From the moment a girl gets to be full-grown the very first thing she learns

When two men go out to face each other only one retur-r-r-ns

Everyone heard two shots ring out, a shot made Liberty fall

The man who shot Liberty Valance, he shot Liberty Valance

He was the bravest of them all.

The man who shot Liberty Valance, he shot Liberty Valance

He was the bravest of them all.

Great song. It wasn't until the other day that I learned that Burt Bacharach and Hal David wrote the words and music....
