Dad's Engines

Those little engines are magnificent, thanks for sharing. I was stuck for 2 hours in YouTube-land looking at all those small working engines about a month ago........Amazing work. I need to replace a rocker arm in my LS2. It's an SLP 1.85 rocker, I can't begin to imagine how small the rockers in those tiny motors are..... Let alone grinding your own tiny custom cam for it. Amazing...[*]

It is great, I was thinking about those the other day after watching something on YouTube. I had no idea who posted this and how long ago it was, Thanks.

Great work

Don (bluesboy), Roy (wipster) and I check in with each other most Saturday afternoons to talk music, gear, and such.  Don will be pleased to see this thread resurrected.  I'll ask him to give us an update on Mr. Ells and his latest projects.

wow.. a baby poppin' Johnny.

Went to an R/C airshow in Australia...Had opportunity to hear/see some planes with little radial engines.   Micro turbines, too. Amazing that they can make them that small and still function. Tolerances get crazy small when you scale down like that.

@Dave A  You would appreciate all these. Go to the first page...

The really amazing thing about many of these working models is they were built in many cases with no CAD design or CNC machining. Old school machinists doing what they love. Near here is Maury County park and there is a group called Mid South Steamers. Miles of track laid and you can go see working real coal fired steam engines small enough for owners to sit on and ride. These are things of beauty and monuments to the talent that built them.
