cc43fan
I resently restored a Fisher 500-C and I keep reading that horns are the way to go with tube gear. Having said that I should explain the set up....room size is 12x16 with 8' ceilings. I listen mostly to classic rock using a TT and digital sources. The new speakers must pass the SAT's (spouse acceptance test). I also don't see a sub in my future (no room, and running cables isn't an option. Please weigh in with suggestions, so far the only speaker I seem to keep coming back to is the Forte II. Any and all ideas/suggests welcome (please, I'm getting dizzy from trying to sort this out!). Boxx
I have had my 500-C hooked up to my khorns for several months... I'm very pleased with the result...
cc43fan
Those are much larger than the Forte, correct?
Dennie
Those are much larger than the Forte, correct? Correct! Off the top of my head, I think the Forte is the smallest of the "Heritage" or "extended Heritage" line. From what I've heard around here, Klipsch and Fisher make great "bedfellows"!! gnatnoop
forte's would be a great choice. chorus's also deserve some consideration.

mustang guy
Would Cornwall's pass the SAT?
cc43fan
They might be a bit big, not to mention pricey!
cc43fan
I just looked up the Chorus. They're bigger than the Cornwalls? These all seem like great speakers, I'm also finding Albany, NY is not a hot bed of audio gear.
