No concerns about timbre not matching, highly recommend it and no reason why it should not work just as well with your KG 5.5's. I like them visually together also. Black works really well too; had oak 4.5's up front and watching a movie, the oak was just too distracting, using them as rears instead. I was looking for KG 5.5's but nothing local showed up, but two pairs of 4.5's happened along at prices I could not pass up. For HT on a budget, the 4.5's are difficult to beat. There have been many threads on which is the right or best center for the KG series so does seem to be more than one answer.
