Fish
I had a chance to meet Goober in Dallas in the 80's, a really nice guy. RIP.
Boxx
You never had to worry about anything offensive coming from Goober or the residents of Mayberry. A classic show from the past. Now Ernest T. Bass... he was a different story... LOL...
JL Sargent
Born about 45 minutes away in Fairfield Alabama. One of our homestate "good guys". Possibly his biggest career bad move? Turned down the role of Spock on the original "Star Trek"
oldtimer
Saw his stand up routine at Casa Manana in Ft. Worth around 30 years ago. He was a funny classy guy.

BigStewMan
RIP Mr. Lindsay. Loved the episode where he grew a beard and he thought he'd become real smart. Great Show. Goober, Floyd...what a great bunch of guys.
Rick
Steve, I remember that episode as well. Yes, it sure was a great show. TV stinks these days with all the reality show crap and all, nothing now compares to shows like that from the past... RIP Mr. Lindsey
Fish
+1 I can honestly say I have never watched one so called reality show.I guess I don't dig misery unless it's on the silver screen, fun is more my tv taste.

Daddy Dee
RIP Goober Pyle. There was a Geo Lindsey Steak House in North Little Rock for a few years. Don't know if there are any of those still in existence.
