Sorry for the reverse chronological order...

The Baltic Birch was cut on my table saw, speaker holes cut with router, dry fitted with Kreg Pocket screws and then final glue with PL Premium.

The exterior panels were cut with a slight (1/8") rebate and the routed with a flush cut bit to make nice corners at final size.

Hopefully it's not critical but the drivers back chamber is now smaller than in the plans or so it seems.

Hey Carl,

I adjusted that back chamber measurement to accommodate the extra thick baffle... what's 1/4" among friends :)

So now the top horn path is 1/4 inch longer, LOL. I'm to AR to deviate from the plans. Bravo to you sir, it looks fantastic. Can't wait to hear your impressions. What mains will you put with it? Bookshelves? Plate amp? Room size?

Thank you both. This sub was one of if not the easiest sub I've built. The kit really spoils you.

I'm thinking about doubling all the dimensions and using this folding scheme with a beefy 18" driver. That should get me closer to 12 Hz. and be a decent match for my twin DTS-10's. Would that be a "holy crap" setup or what?!

  • 3 weeks later...

What have we got, maybe 3 of these being built now? Not a single review or impression???

I haven't touched my works in progress in weeks, and won't be able to finish them for a few more weeks. Then I'll share.

Same here Carl,

My kitchen renovation has been stealing all my spare time.

I should have the kitchen cabinets installed in about 3 weeks and then back to my builds... 1 tapped horn assembled and the 2nd one has been laying in pieces for about a month :(
