CECAA850
Looks like a big hearing aid.
jacksonbart
That is a little over $43,000 a pound. A pound of Gold at $1605 an ounce would cost you $25,648 per pound.

CECAA850
They look like something out of A Clockwork Orange. Watched that for the first time ever about 2 weeks ago. Wow.
oldtimer
Now read the book. It's poetry masquerading as prose.

JL Sargent
Good they didn't part from the standard Bose 901 Tulip Stands. []
CECAA850
Now read the book. It's poetry masquerading as prose. Not a bad idea considering much of the dialog had such a strong Brittish accent that I barely understood it. Some dialog I missed all together. boom3
At the very end of Clockwork Orange they bring two large panel speakers into the hospital room. I've tried to figure out what those could be, given the year of the movie. They are not KLH-9's (my first guess) and Magenpans did not exist then. Schu
am I the only one wondering what the worlds second most expensive speakers are? I mean, you take the time build 4.5 million dollar speaker... and you are only second best?
jhoak
If you make the world's most expensive whatever someone with WAY more money than sense will buy it just so they can say that they own the world's most expensive whatever. Being the world's most expensive whatever does NOT automatically make that item the world's "best" whatever. Just the most expensive. P.T. Barnum said it best. His words are as true today as they were in his time.

Audio Android
Man those are ugly[] Those turds are gold plated.
Islander
According to the article, those are $63,000 speakers with a gold kit that makes them so much more expensive. Therefore, they should be compared with other speakers in their same price range, regardless of their finish. Palladiums look better and probably sound better, too. Daddy Dee
Yeh. I'd put money on Palladiums running circles around these ugly little rascals. Reminds me a bit of having a gold plated Rolls-Royce. So what? Even at $63K for the stock speakers it's a bad joke. Something I've heard on this forum... can't remember if it's a PWK quote or something. paraphrased it's something like: you can do something or other,"but you can't change the laws of physics." anyone remember the whole saying? seti
I doubt they even made the 4 mil version and likely just want to get attention for their product.
JL Sargent
Oh Mike, I'm guessing the Harley mods are caught up for the time being? []
