The movie is still awesome on small screen but LFE is rather disappointing!

Descent movie and excellent movie to enjoy the LFE's. This movie is packed with action and all the characters shined.

I've been looking forward to this movie the most. I will go get it today!

Absolutely the most impressive photochemical to bluray conversion ever done. this print is superb and no library should be without this title. I wish ALL movie were done this well... sales would be 10x what they are now.

Fianlly purchased this last Saturday, and planning on watching it tonight!

Ah good, it wasn't just me that thought that...I thought the sound was overall a bit disappointing for such a big budget film. Good movie tho, definitely not sad I bought it.

I kind of found it refreshing to be able to crank the movie up loud without distortion and listen to the clear dialog without reaching for the remote on the loud parts. Yes, it was still loud and explosive - made my walls rattle, but it wasn't over the top and unnatural like so many movies.....

I know this isn't bluray, but I just got back from seeing Lawrence of Arabia in the theaters @ 4k... very nice over all print, but it's NOT
without some issues. while the overall presentation was very good...
with the dry gate scanning and lack of correction used, the film had
some issues.

For instance, the recent wet gate scanning and treatment of Jaws simply
blows this LOA treatment out of the water... it's not even the same ball
park, not even close. certainly LOA never looked better than it does
now, but I think it COULD HAVE looked better. one thing that really
bummed me out was the lack of color correction mid scenes, the folks how
did JAWS really took there time to make sure a scene had color and
saturation consistency.... LOA lacked this severely.

One other thing, at the end when they are all sitting in the office just
before L'Awerence goes back to brittan, there is a short cascade of
symphony music that is out of place(it lasts about 1 second)... how
could they have missed this?

I think most all 4k scans are going to look stunning, but if I had to
rate LOA's most recent transfer, out of 100 I would give it a 75.
