Boxx
My wife had a similar fall last October... However, she seems to be okay today.... and with this, the thread is saved. Every Good Boy Deserves Favour.... lol....
CECAA850
You know, I've always heard the term "Red A$$" but this is the first time I've actually seen it. Thanx Boxx[]
Marvel
I just took a look at it in the bathroom and it has gotten wider and everything that is red in that picture is now blue and purple. Gonna be sore for a bit.Use a LOT of Arnica on the bruises, it will help tremendously. Should have started immediately. You can get some tablets too, but gel for topical application will work. fini
I feel your pain, Smith, I truly do. I fell 16 feet, my head right next to a big chunk of concrete. I got the same beautiful backside, with the addition of a lovely hematoma. How old are you? Look for this one to rear its ugly head 10-15 years down the road. That's my life, and I fight the pain 'n' stuff daily now. I wish you the best, truly.

Islander
Thanks for the story and safety tip. It's so easy to get hurt when you take shortcuts. There's a Jamaican saying: "Short cut, draw blood!" Luckily, your pants weren't any lower, or we'd need this:
TasDom
I did something very similar a few years back while putting the final top ornament on our Christmas tree. It took weeks for me to heal. Make shift ladders are just that........best wishes to a speedy recovery and thanks for not falling on your frontside!

Cal Blacksmith
The times you get hurt and DO NOT FEEL IT are the ones to be scared about! [:S] If I do something stupid and it hurts, I figgure that I didn't mess up too bad but if I KNOW I damaged something but don't feel it, then I REALLY assess what happened and if a trip to the ER is in order. Glad you wound up OK, it could have been much worse but then you don't need me to tell you that. Congrats on "minor" injuries.
Thaddeus Smith
hehe, thanks Cal. As an update, the Arnica suggestion was spot on and I'm pretty much just a nice hue of yellow bruising as a result. A week a later and it would appear my ego is the only thing that shattered.
