RichardP
Probably not on the current top ten list of many here, but some oldsters like myself were wowed upon seeing him in the Monterey Pop Festival and Woodstock movies. Thanks to George Harrison for furthering his exposure to US audiences. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ravi_Shankar
Daddy Dee
Yeh. I was thinking about Geo Harrison and Ravi Shankar. Actually have a couple of Ravi's oldies but goodies on my squeebox!
Don Richard
I have an album of his music, as well as some CDs by daughter Norah Jones. He was a remarkable talent and will be missed.
Marvel
The 2002 CD/DVD Concert for George has quite a bit of his music and performing. An awesome CD (I don't have the DVD). For a live recording, it is really very good. When the Beatles started using sitar music, a friend of mine bought one and tried to learn to play it. I think it ended up being wall decor. Easy to sound poorly and difficult to master. Bruce
Daddy Dee
Interesting. I had imagined that it would be a most challenging instrument to play. Would have been fun to be around when Geo Harrison was learning to play it. No telling how many hours and days he spent with it learning.
