wuzzzer
The beater pair of Chorus I speakers I just bought is missing several of the rubber grommets that the grill snaps into. I only have 7 of them and it looks like there are 16 total. Anyone have any they'd care to part with?
colterphoto1
does Parts Express have a suitable replacement or could you retrofit neo magnets?
wuzzzer
Well, here's the deal. Each grill has a few pegs broken off of them. The rubber grommets that I do have were pressed way into the motorboard. I popped them out and re-installed them on the grills. I'm mainly getting them to plug the holes that are left there by the missing grommets. Thanks for mentioning Parts Express, though. Didn't think of looking there. wuzzzer
Found some that I think will work. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BEST-Quality-SPEAKER-GRILL-CLOTH-Large-Peg-Kit-Grille-Fabric-Peg-Kit-GC-PEG-/130589275946?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D4854095775001393211%26pid%3D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D130589275946%
wuzzzer
Got that kit today. The grommets are actually made of hard plastic. They are ever so slightly smaller than the holes in the motorboard for the OEM rubber grommets. I glued them in/on so that they are sealed.
