I've got a 2500 (same amp) that I've had in my HT for 6 or 7 years. It's powering four 18" drivers wired at 2 Ohms per channel. Hasn't skipped a beat. Edit: I use these amps to power my side and rear effects speakers as well as all my subs and LF bins. I have compared this amp to various Crown models including the K series and it compared very well. With a quiet fan mod, this thing is hard to beat on price for performance. [Y] I recently compared it to my well reguarded Crown K-2 and it was not put to shame....not at all. This amp has serious nuts and did an outstanding job vs. the Crown for subwoofer duty.
