Integrated Amplifiers Info

Hi All,

I am thinking about purchasing an amp to power my mains. I don't need one to do the other three. I am running a Marantz SR-6004 receiver.

I know Emotiva makes some great stuff, is there anything for us Canadians that is a reasonable price? I don't think Emotiva does much in the way of warranty for out of states customers. Someone may know more.

Also, how does one get an amp that turns on when you turn on the receiver?

Thanks guys.

Your ad title mentions integrated amp but I think you mean outboard amp.

If you are okay with used gear, this is a great choice.

You connect a 12v trigger cable from the receiver to the amp.

I purchased the conditioner from Best Buy for $120.00. I just cut the tv on and everything powers up in squence. This avoids handshake problems and no popping noise from the speakers when the amps fire up. It killed two birds with one stone, I needed a surge potector/power conditioner for the system and a way to activate the entire system with just the touch of one button.
