WTB: cd player w/tube output/buffering

My place got jacked s few weeks back...lost a 42" smart teevee and a Emotiva UMC-200, along with other stuff. One thing that's beat, is they pinched my favorite CD player...a Rega Planet with a replaced transport, output cap mods, and hexfred diodes in the power supply. I liked the sound. I'm looking for a tube output CD player with a variable output if possible.{/p}

I can swing 400 bucks or so...along with some swapping/bartering. I have a pair of k55 drivers and k401 horns, along with a few tubes.

I should have some cash after Easter...

For some weird reason I can't sign in and post to the forum w/my desktop PC using Windows 8. I'm posting from my mobile phone.

PM's should still work.

Thanx,

Mike.

Sorry for what happened. Best of luck getting adequate replacements.

Click on 'compatibility mode', should be a little icon to the right of the website address. I had the same problem and this allowed me to log in to the Klipsch forum.

Thanks!

Sheltie Dave mentioned this compatibility mode as well...I can now sign in once again. I'm new to winbloze h8...I don't recall Vista or XP operating systems having compatibility mode.

Fortunately, they didn't take any tube amplifiers...anything else would have taken a pick-up, and more time than a two minute grab and go. they busted up my homebrew 2A3 SET amplifier pretty good when it fell to the floor...no tubes broken...but they need to be tested. Did the same to my Scott LK-48B, but it just knocked off a knob.

They just grabbed what they knew was worth something. A bit late, but I did get a security system. They passed over a 200 dollar printer/stencil cutter for a cheap 70 dollar HP printer...and my wore out Dell E521 PC. It was time for a upgrade, nonetheless.
