billybob
Anyway, I need some room to turn around in the room I have appointed to be my sound room. Besides, I still like mono but, really have too much other going on. I have no pics as, the digital camera I have used before has low resolution and no flash. But, I am working on that aspect. 1) Electrovoice Aristocrat without the full compliment of grill decorations I have seen on other's online. This is a medium brown/tan solid wood corner enclosure, with what appears to be an original grille hardware cloth. Minor scratches, normal wear and tear. Picked it up from a seller in Atlanta area, a bit over 2 years ago. He had replaced/added better speaker wire connectors in the back of unit. It has a frequency control adjuster on rear of unit. I was told and read online about this particular speaker that it has a 12 inch Norelco woofer with a (Peters(???)Supertweeter enclosed, in place of Electrovoice for whatever reason. It does sound and looks good to me, but has mostly been unhooked and just sitting. No Electrovoice insignia or marking but, I have not been inside of speaker to find if any stickers, etc. Weight I guess to be around 70lbs. 2) An approx.1/2 as large as the above Acousti-Craft branded speaker cabinet in solid dark stained mahogany like color wood. Grille may be original and in decent condition. Sides are alright with some scratches but the top has been either abused or just used as a working table top. It contains (oddly) a Wolverine by Electovoice 12 inch woofer and T-25 tweeter. Also, it has an adjustment control on the rear. This like the Aristocrat may well have been a project/kit. This speaker I did go into for id'ing the speakers and saw a red crossover/capacitor, I think. It sound as good as the Aristocrat to me but, to be fair, I did not have an empty corner to try it as of yet. Weight approx. 40lbs. Some/jazz/blues really brought out the lowend on both. Since no boxes, no shipping. And, no parting out as it would not solve my space problem. Location I expect to be a problem but, I may be able to help some. Just depends on situation. Thanks and until any pics should appear, I must warn you that I have had little experience at offering speakers. More with the consuming of. Thanks, Billy *Recently edited! Woofers and Tweeters
I'd like to have a pair of these. They were sold before stereo, and are like the Shorthorn: one speaker in the corner to light up the whole room with sound. Here is a little more information.
