XP Sux! Use the Mac or Linux. We've had nothing but trouble since we converted to XP at work. Mine crashed twice in the first 2 hours I had it. There's no more "blue screen of death", it's grey!

for the mac, you will need a decent USB sound board to get decent sound, full duplex.

for any wintel machine, check out MediaJukebox. EXCELLENT program.

I'd just like to point out that since my reconversion to WinXP, I have had the computer crash only about once or twice a MONTH, while it would happen about 3 times a WEEK with Win98.

And I have no compatibility problems, and don't have to use L337 Linux skeelz whenever I need to install a program. Oh, and I have endless gaming possibilities and laugh when I see what's offered for the Mac.

Not wanting to sound like a Windows zombie/user, but those are simply cold hard facts.

Ever tried installing a .tar file in linux? Even a geek like me has a hard time.
