Texnwv
I bought a pair of Heresy II's about four years ago. The guy I bought them off of had removed the tag on the back giving information of when they were made. There is no serial number stamped on the back. I took a pick of the crossover in an attempt to get anyone's input on a rough idea when these might have been made. Not looking for exact info, just an idea when they might have been made other than the range that Heresy II's were made. Anything would be appreciated. Thanks. Sancho Panza
Earlier HIIs were marked 94dB Sensitivity & 4 Ohm, later 8 ohm. Would love to know when the transition was. According to original cut sheets I have from circa 1990 they were 96 dB & 8 Ohm.
Marvel
Tex, Welcome to the forums. When my son bought me a pair of HIIs, we also found th stickers had been removed. The nearest date I could come up with was by looking/finding a couple of inspection tags inside the cabs. I figured the dates were close enough. They were small, loose pieces inside. I'd open mine up and get a pic, but you may still have yours open anyway. Bruce
djk
Best bet is to check the date code on the woofers. New gasket material will probably be needed.
Sancho Panza
bought a Heresy II off uMay; called Klipsch production date May 4, 1996; couldn't say on efficiency, but 1990 cut sheet says 96dB, last SPEC says 97dB...I also inquired via e-mail, let's see what they say... it's marked 8 Ohm but no copyright date on the xover... earlier 8 Ohm HIIs were marked 8 Ohm on xover, but had copyright 1986...
