justin_tx_16
Welcome to the Klipsch forum!!! Here is the info you requested. The Klipsch Professional KP-301 is a compact, full-range loudspeaker system that is exceptionally accurate. Its high output, high power handling, low distortion and smooth frequency response make it an excellent choice for music playback, such as in DJ or karaoke applications, as well as for live sound applications as a touring or fixed install speaker. This three-way system features a 15-inch (380 mm) bass driver with a rigid, lacquer-dipped, rib-reinforced cone for extreme power handling. The midrange is handled by a 60° x 40° Tractrix® Horn coupled to a two-inch (50mm) titanium dome compression driver, with the high frequencies provided by a similar horn matched with a ferrofluid cooled, one-inch (25mm) polyetherimide dome compression driver. The KP-301 is equipped with a proprietary limiter device that automatically protects the high frequency driver from being overdriven. The KP-301 is built from selected furniture-grade, 3/4-inch (19mm) void-free birch plywood with a 1-inch plywood motorboard. The finish is black textured paint with a black, powder-coated perforated metal grille. This is a portable model fitted with side positioned handles at the balance points and corner and edge protection. wesnflux
These specs look exactly like the specs to the KP-301-II-A speakers. I have a set of the original KP-301 speakers (pre 2001) and was wondering if you (or anyone that will post) has specs for this earlier model. The mid and high frequency drivers in my 301's are different than the later II-A versions and I was really wanting all the specs and possibly to know of other models that have matching mid and high frequency transducers. When I have time, I will pull the horns out and post their model numbers, but I am almost certain that they are not the same as the numbers listed above, as the numbers listed above are for the II-A versions specifically. Unless someone swapped all my drivers prior to my purchase unbeknownst to me. I guess stranger things have happened. I have had these speakers for about 4-5 years and have yet to find specs other than the KP-301-II-A. Any help is appreciated.

Captain Ron
What do you think a set of 301 II Speakers cost. Mint condition? I have the option of buying some.
jjptkd
Price is going to vary of course but a set recently sold here on the forum for $900 I believe but they had rebuilt crossovers.
Skelt
Location influences the price somewhat. These are not mine. The ad has been up for quite a while and the seller updates it regularly. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/msg/5974814315.html klipsch pa for sale...2-kp-301 top cabs and 2-kp480 sw ;.....650.00 or Make Offer for all

Yes. They were the II versons and ultimately went for 800.
JohnV
Apologies if this is better covered elsewhere... have a pair of kp301's bought new in box ages ago. 5n transit one cab tooka drop to concrete and had its woofer magnet shifted, trapping the VC. I Replaced the woofs with some (i believe) LaScala woofs that have a different impedance and so messed up the crossover and sonics. Fixed that by rewiring the crossover and NL4 connector for bi-amp operation and they have served well like that. Haven't used them in some years and am getting them back out. System is a CARVIN 4x200w power amp and a Peavey electronic xover. Do I gain anything by damping the interior of the cab with fiberglas? CECAA850
I wouldn't use fiberglass for 2 reasons. First the glass fibers are going to be flying out the port into your listening areas. Secondly they'll get in the woofer coil and eat it up.
