Guest David H
Here is a sweet offering from Parks Audio. I am building a pair of these from scratch because I already had the transformers and this sweet deal was not yet available. NOSValves
Shannon Parks does some awesome stuff. His Dynaco circuit board setups have always been the best overall designs when you want to keep the power supply close to original. They can also be messaged fairly easily when you want to go the distance...... Where is the thread or information about this SUT?
NOSValves
I found it on his forum.

NOSValves
Dave is that a circuit board with some type of finish on the top?
Guest David H
Dave is that a circuit board with some type of finish on the top? Yes, its the first time I have seen this technique. I am impressed with the simplicity of the design. Dave
Marvel
Shannon did that with his Budgie SE amp design. A PC board is the top of the amp chassis. Very clever idea. You'll notice this is a build by forum member Justin Weber... http://www.diytube.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=6008 Shannon did that with his Budgie SE amp design. Guest David H
Bruce, the top plate of the SUT is the circuit board, the Budgie SE has a separate circuit board. Dave
Marvel
Dave, From one of Shannon's posts on the Budgie amp: "... the top plate is completely done with all the cutouts and silkscreening. Instead of aluminum, it is actually a PCB fabrication around .100" thick, so it is very sturdy and looks great. It makes for a very simple and fast build." I see what you mean, I thought you were saying the top plate of the Budge amp was the printed circuit. It is in a sense, it serves as the ground path. Guest David H
Here is the point to point SUT I have been working on, not quite as fancy as Shannons, but sure does sound good. I have it mounted to a piece of Red Oak. I need to change out the lowsy RCA jack, waiting for them to arrive. Dave

kaiser SET say
Nice looking SUT you have there yourself Dave, is there any difference in the blue label vs. red label Cinemag Tranny that you know? I'm pretty sure these are the same transfomers in the Bob's Devices SUT's as well. THX
Guest David H
The blue label I believe is the lower distortion version of the copper wound transformer. The ones I have are the same transformer Bob uses in his $850 unit. Thanks, Dave

Guest David H
Here is the Parks version along side my point to point. The one thing I don't like about the Parks is the micro switches. Other than that, it great, and simple to build. Dave
