jordan122345
Hey all its been a while since I have been around. But anyways a possible silly question for you all. So after sadly selling my rf7 setup about a year and a half ago I decided today I am going to start gathering another killer setup. So I found a pair of very very nice rs62's for $380 with full warranty also. Then about an hour later I found a pair of rf82's for $240. So my question is there any way to pair these up and then get a rc 62 to match or no. Any help would be awesome. Thanks ron
Moderators Youthman Posted September 23, 2013 Moderators Share Posted September 23, 2013 So I found a pair of very very nice rs62's for $380 with full warranty also. No brainer...buy them . Then about an hour later I found a pair of rf82's for $240. Definite no brainer, buy them So my question is there any way to pair these up and then get a rc 62 to match or no. Any Absolutely. The RC-62 is the matching center for the RF-82. Klipsch only recommended the RS-52 for the RF-82 system so the RS-62's will just be a bonus upgrade. [] I hope you have already picked them up because if not, they are likely gone already
jordan122345
Yeah I couldn't pass them up so I most definitely bought them I missed out on a pair of ksp400's a week ago by 10 minutes for $100 so there was no way I was gonna pass these up
jordan122345
The rf82'so are version 1 and the rs62's are version 2 I believe. Is that gonna be any issue at all or no. I figure worst case I will sit on the rs62's until I can find some rf7's or rf83's and then go from there and then use the rf82's in the room for stereo only in my bedroom
derrickdj1
It is not has important for the surrounds to be matched like the mains and center. Look at my signature I can't hear a timber mismatch between my speakers and they are not all from the same series. Some avr's have timber matching features that make matching not a big issue. jordan122345
Okay that works. So since the rd82's are the first version should I look for a rc62 first version or second or will there really be a difference on those
Scrappydue
id look for a first version center for sure. timbre matching the front three is most important. surrounds, not so much.

No problem at all to have version 2 surrounds and version 1 mains. I agree that you should look for the version 1 RC-62.

willland
So I found a pair of very very nice rs62's for $380 with full warranty also. Make sure the seller did not mean $380.00 each. That has happened more than once here on the forum. Bill

Scrappydue
Will it cause big problems for you? Maybe not. Would it cause big problems for me? Yep! I have OCD and I notice all the small things. So let me say that the vinyl Wrap they used is different looking. The copper cones are a different color. The grills are different color and made out of like a silk wrap instead of cotton. And it has a shiny badge on the grill instead of being built in to the bottom of the baffle. Lol SOOO if you could live with all that stuff go for it. Will be easier to find a new one for sure.
