What is the easiest way to get a URL for a pic on my computer or hard drive ?

To get a URL for a pic, you need to put it online somewhere. There are sites like Flickr.com, photobucket, and others that let you do this for free.

If you are trying to post a picture here in our forums, you can attach images to your post (which uploads them from your computer and adds them to the post)

When I click on the little image button it ask me for a URL, I don't see anything else ?

Go to the bottom below the typing area and use Attach Files.

There are 3 steps. First use Browse to select your file, then use Attach This File and last you will see an option to Add to Post.

The cool thing about this is you can attach multiple files now. I really like that.

So you can't just put a url in the image box? When I tried, I got the error message :

you can, but some sites put things at the end of the url that makes it error here. what's the url?

I think I know what I did wrong. When I went to the image, I copied and pasted the url from the properties of the pic. Instead, I should have clicked the image and gotten the url from that image instead. Sorry.
