willland
Very very nice. :emotion-21: One of those(maybe not as nice) is on my to have list. My computer genius buddy has in mind a nice build for me for about $400.00. I think after Christmas I will commission him to build it. The Dude
I want to build one as well, but I think I will build a server first something that starts with 2-3 terabits but expandable up to 16 terabits. I will be loading all my movies and music, photos, etc. But will be accessible from all computers, and video displays. That is a very nice case, how is the quality of the blu ray player. Some recommend a stand alone blu ray player. Edited November 24, 2013 by duder1982
Moderators Youthman Posted November 24, 2013 Moderators Share Posted November 24, 2013 Very nice build. I just but a PC for graphic and website design. Never built one as a HTPC. As with most things in life, you save a ton if you can DIY. Congrats
Rich_Guy
That is a very nice case, how is the quality of the blu ray player. Some recommend a stand alone blu ray player Yes I really like the quality build of this case, inside and out it is exceptional quality, also 100% aluminum very thick and sturdy, thick extruded aluminum side panels. I think Origen AE made the best HTPC cases I've seen. The Blu-ray quality is exceptional, much better than my stand alone player both for video and sound quality. Also it is very fast to play much quicker than the stand alone, I use TotalMedia Theatre 6 Blu-ray software and think it is the best, I've used Power DVD Blu-ray software but prefer TotalMedia Theatre. SuBXeRo
you picked quality components and I really like that case. I have a salvage box that I have ubuntu on that i need more ram for than the 1 gig it has to make it a ghetto HTPC. Its more so for local music streaming and internet connection. oldred
Nice build. I really wish there were more sound card choices. But I have heard good things about your Asus card. Wish it was not so pricey Edited November 26, 2013 by oldred
