Mighty Favog
I'm unable to post in the forum's new software with a Kindle Fire using the Silk OS (first release of the Fire). May not be a problem with the later HD versions but.... The Fire will not put the cursor in the text area to start typing no matter how much I tap my finger in the box. Or even after going to "More Reply Options". It will only highlight the nearest text as if I wanted to copy and paste something. Administrators Chad Posted December 3, 2013 Administrators Share Posted December 3, 2013 I have no way of testing/troubleshooting this at this time, but thanks for the report. Have you tried other forums on that, to see if it's just this forum?
USNRET
I have 3 versions of the Kindle. IICR2, I'll check all three this evening.
Mighty Favog
Only other forum I use is probably FaceBook. But that's an app all by itself. I used to do AudioAficionado, I'll see see if that one works.
USNRET
Test from Kindle Fire
USNRET
Test from Kindle Fire Well that worked but slow and clunky. It's been a while since I used the Kindle. For reading a book: GREAT for cruising or posting the inter-web: suking!
Boxx
I am only interested in this device if Amy comes with it 100% of the time..... or at least 60% of the time....
Mighty Favog
Hmmm.... Mine still does want to even put a cursor where it needs to be. I use it just about everyday so I wonder if the touch screen is wearing out.
Scrappydue
did you try some other sites to see if it is just this forum? Facebook isn't really a forum.
Mighty Favog
O.K., I just went and could post to http://www.audioaficionado.org/ with no problem. ...but, I know, on the kindle Facebook is really an app. Edited December 4, 2013 by Mighty Favog
Mighty Favog
O.k. now I'm in some other mode posting just fine. At the bottom of the screen is a button to tap if I want to go to "full version". Is that the tapatalk app? Because I didn't order/buy that app.
Administrators Chad Posted December 7, 2013 Administrators Share Posted December 7, 2013 No, that button is to go into the desktop layout of the forums (rather than the mobile layout)
Mighty Favog
Ok then, I was in the desktop mode before. Desktop mode was pretty hard to read on a noble. Is there a button to toggle between the two in case I wind up in desktop again?
Administrators Chad Posted December 9, 2013 Administrators Share Posted December 9, 2013 At the bottom of the page, click "Change Theme", and choose "IP.Board Mobile"
