Facade of St. Pauls, built in 1602. The army was later stationed next door and in 1835, a fire broke out in the barracks and destroyed th eformer school and main body of the church. The remaining facade was restored from 1990-95.

Earthquake bolts coming up next .

I have seen them in old buildings in NO but had no idea they were Earthquake bolts. I know (I think) the rods go all through the building and connect on each end as you see on the outside.

 Cool pictures everyone :emotion-21:

Keeping with the same theme, St. Louis Cathedral, 1727 was the first building, there was a fire in 1788, they started to rebuild in 1789 and was not completed until 1794.

In 1829 an organ was imported and in 1825 Francisco Zapari, an Italian painter, was employed at a fee of $1,855 to decorate the interior of the church and its three altars.
