That's a little tough, that AE-1 was my first camera, Christy bought it for me when we were dating about 38+ years ago, she was trying to sucker me in, well it worked.

That's because he didn't actually take that picture.

Well in his defense (and i hate to do that ) He was using a I-pad. I tried to use mine once just for convenience to post and the pic really sucked, It could have been the Otter case ?

That Nikon F is a tank.  When I was in HS, I saved my money and bought a used Nikon F and an F2 (1978).  Both were like new.

I also bought a 250 exposure motorized back for the F, but I had to sell that camera and the back to pay my housing bill my freshman year in college.  I got $700 for that rig, but it really hurt to sell it.  I still have that F2, plus another F2 and a couple of F's that I picked up over the years.  Best mechanical SLR cameras ever made IMO.

I still remember the TV ads for the AE-1.  I think it was tennis star John Newcombe with the tagline "so advanced - it's simple".

I don't remember that commercial, It was the camera I first discovered what all the adjustments would do to a picture. Still today I use manual as my first choice but do use the auto focus for general pic's, and at times A, which I tell people is for Alcohol and I'm not really paying attention.

I was in the garden and had to take a step back

Another snake - what is it with me and snakes ?

Boddy on this snake is twice the thickness of my arm

It was well hidden and camouflaged so I took this photo from a short distance

I should have stayed inside painting the audio room
