DIY Subwoofer questions

I ask because I'm ignorant. I show my ignorance by asking.

Say you have a plan for a subwoofer but the Height or length is not suitable for whatever reason.

1. If you keep the internal volume the same,

2. you keep the total lenght of the folded horn, such as a table tuba, or whatever. Either adding another fold or elimanating a fold. Thus allowing to make it taller and not as long. Or making it longer and not as tall.

Would this influence the sound?

The length is critical as well as the flare rate.

Yes, so if you keep that looking the same, it makes no difference how you fold it. If you look at Bill Fitzmaurice's Tuba HT or the Tuba HT Low Profile. The pefmance is the same with different folds. Tall and skinny is the same as sh.ort and squatty
