longdrive03
A buddy of mine has some and swears by them. He says they will do 500HZ as well as the other models such as JBL, Selenium, 18 Sound. Anyone tested/used them. They are 3" vc I think and are expensive. Wonder how they would match up with Jube horn or PA use.
djk
For PA the minimum suggested crossover point is 1Khz. For home use you might get away with 500hz. I have a friend using the DH7 (same diaphragm) at 750hz/24dB and is happy with it for home use. Edited January 8, 2014 by djk
longdrive03
Thanks djk. I've thought about using them in a Jube if I get enough time and strength to try to build a pair. Does the DH7 cover 750Hz to 20khz? I may mate it with an EV SMX 2151 15" woofer which is about 98db.
moray james
EV data shows the ND6x for use down to 500Hz. at power of 50 watts for situations where lower crossover than the ND6 which crosses at 1000 Hz and will take 75 watts. ND6x looks similar to the DH1A. Weighs a lot less than a DH1A. I would have liked to think that after all these years the ND6x would show more improvement over the DH1A, goes to show what a fine job they did on the DH1A.. Best regards Moray James. You would want to go lower.
