kg4guy
Well I put this system a side for awhile so now I'm thinking about making some changes I was going to go 4 way adding a HF horn and driver to the Peavey MB-2 and the JBL 2360A horn and DIY MWM bass bins and getting a Ashly Protea 4.8SP however now I'm thinking of getting a Danley SM80 and getting rid of the Peavey MB-2's and the JBL 2360A . I have 3 Danley TH118's and will get another in a few months with the SM80 and run them with the MWM's with a Ashly Protea 3.6SP so The 4 MWM singles with 4 Danley TH118's in the middle and the Danley SM80 they will cover anything from 110Hz to 20khz probably 350Hz and run the TH118's to 100Hz and the MWM's from 100Hz-350Hz but will experiment with that should be interesting. Sounds excellent. I'm a Danley fan. Coherence of his Synergy horns is unmatched by anything I know of. His Jericho horns are nothing short of awesome for outdoor use. The SM 80's are impressive in fact I talked to Ivan Beaver from Danley on the phone and he recommended 4 TH118's for each SM80 if I decided to run them to there limit however I don't think I will come close to that maybe next summer when I do some large outdoor estate parties. I really wish I had them for a gig out on a polo field last September but KP 302's and 2 TH115's and a TH118 worked ok sounded awesome.
