Us horn sub guys just wanna hear how much better a horn loaded sub is than bass reflex with twin 18's.

It looks like it's about the same size as both of my DTS 10's stack together, which are almost 600 lbs. so your is light in comparions to two Danleys. LOL.

BTW, Two 12" driver is the same as one 18" driver in terms of radiation area. Since your new horn sub has an 18 and a passive, it should have the same power.

18=1017

15=706

12=452

10=314

two 12's would only be 904 , one 18 is 1017

Wow, all I can say is wow. When you read what the size is you just cant think about it, until you compare it to something. Wow.

What do those numbers represent?

Area = pi x r squared

Area for a 12 = 3.1416 x 6x6

Area = 3.1416 x 36 = 113.1

I almost forgot, I think you need one or two more so you can have a false front wall....and you should set up a video camera to capture your wife's reaction.

Siiiiiick.

That looks absolutely excellent!

There is something to be said for getting a cabinet that will then make the Jubilees look small.

Enjoy,

-Tom

I also got tired of using a heresy as a centre channel, I decided to pick up a pair of really beat up la scala's for $400. I sent them out to a guy for refinishing, I should post picks, they look good now.

Looks like it can double as a dog house, if your wife objects. Congrats!

Two cabs that big would fetch a planar wave in most living rooms. :lol:

That's some serious kit right there Turbox. :blink: Sweet! :emotion-22:
