jimi
Have a single "decorator" model in raw birch for sale. All components are original and in good working order. Crossover is Type AA. Serial #'s are located in all the correct locations, stamped on the base bin, rear fin, on the point of the grill mount at the rear, as well as in pencil inside the base bin with assembler initials and Hope Ark, USA. This is not some knockoff pieced together khorn. Just wanted to make sure that was understood. Have owned this for 25+ years, and two other '73 decorators which got "dressed up" and had hoped to find a fourth to do the same, but have decided to sell the spare instead. Asking $600, located in Houston Tx., and can assist in local delivery. Not a regular seller on any site's so not set up for Paypal etc. Cash or certified check would be great. Have further photo's if anyone requires. Thanks for looking, am online generally evenings only due to work, hope that is not a problem. toolz
Looking at the tag and wood grain that looks like a designer cabinet, fir plywood, raw. No finish. You don't find wood like that anymore. Not a void plug anywhere.

One would think you would probably have to use Baltic Birch to get something similar these days. But I'm no expert on woodworking by a long shot. babadono
mungkiman
Last time I needed Fir ply without "footballs", I had to search through 8 units to find 2 sheets. Beautiful stuff! Hard to find.
jimi
Toolz, you are correct, my mistake, "raw fir', no finish. Was sanding a pair of raw 'Russian birch" cabinets last night (late) and had a "blonde moment" this am, if that is still politically correct. As well you are absolutely correct in the fact that this raw fir is very hard to find, Pacific Georgia was the last supplier of old growth fir for Khorns, in the mid 70's, as far as I know. As for the avatar pic, tigerwoodKhorns, can show a few, will need to dig a little deeper into the photo file for more. Thanks for the interest. Brazilian rosewood finish, oiled, too many clear coats to recall to complete update and sealing. Top hat base and grill finished with a black piano, high gloss laminate, with matching bass bin trim, and kick plate. Decorators, "dressed up".
