tigerwoodKhorns
It has been said, but the chance of these being a mix of Klipsch and Speakerlab is basically none. But that is OK, they look to be very well made, especailly with the riser on the top hat. Post more pics. Teh weak links look the be the crossovers and mid driver. But that is an easy fix. Guest " "
yes...speakerlab k's.....very well made..nice grain on the one in the pic. PD-4V is a low power version of the k-55. Fiberglass mid horn so you don't have to worry about rinning. Something to remember is that the woofer is an 8 ohm woofer, so you can't use a klipsch crossover with out modifications. The klipsch woofer is setup for 4 ohm woofers. You have to make adjustments to compensate for an 8 ohm woofer. The vertical tweeter is fine, don't bother moving it back to a horizontal position. djk
"PD-4V is a low power version of the k-55" No, it's not. A PD4V has no phaseplug and the diaphragm is quite different.
JohnA
Good snag! I would change the squawker (midrange) to an Atlas PD-5VH or K-55-V (the ones with solder terminals are the best) and then build/buy a set of Type A or AA crossovers for them and let them sing! If the woofer resistance is much more than 3.2 ohms, you'll need to adjust the crossover for that value, or install some Klipsch K-33-E or Crites woofers. Klipschorns DO NOT have subwoofers, just woofers. Edited April 5, 2014 by John Albright
