Melted fuses are normally caused by a bad (loose or dirty) contact between the fuse and the holder.  Resistance = heat.

See all kinds of crazy stuff on old 25 year old cars...... I can't get the owner of this old Accord to junk it..... I started condemning this old car a few years back......but he just keeps bringing it in with problems he wants fixed..... So I fix it:P

Anyone heard from Chuck.....not me the other one?

No but I did just have a session of attempting to explain switch hysteresis to my wife as she was complaining that the thermostat doesn't hold an absolute temp. Add that to compressor short cycling explanation and I am DONE with that.
