I looked into it 5+ years ago as i was thinking of retirement. I looked into every dam thing i could think of that gave seniors a perk for just surviving to retirement. I should have plumbed this knowledge base for opinions, but it was easy to get these from Amazon. For $15, they're better than nothing to protect my hearing from the noise of the router, saws, etc, as I build speakers. It takes me about 8+ hours to cut grass, I put a roof on the tractor, this reflects the sound from the engine and finishing mower right where I sit. I wear earbuds for music when I cut grass with a pair like that over the earbuds so I don't have to turn them up to hear music. Seems someone pulled up by a car in the parking lot, jumped out and knifed a tire on a new car sitting there then drove away. Owner comes out of the next door store and a TMob customer tells her what happened and gave her the license plate number he caught. I am walking by now and ask her if she wanted me to put the spare on. She says thanks and that her 80 some odd year old husband at home couldn't do it. About the time I had found the wheel lock key and broken the lugs another gent arrives and tell me to let him do it as I was in my white work shirt and he was already dirty. BigStewMan Posted June 21, 2017 Share Posted June 21, 2017 i think the wise move is getting all the identification possible on person(s) and vehicle and turning it over to the law. some punk with neck tattoos came at me and got in my face recently. I calmly told him to get the f*k away from me. Just then my brother exits Starbucks and grabs me by the arm and leads me away. I hate to admit this; but, I’m not in my 20s anymore--i know a few things that others don’t in regards to self-defense; but, that doesn’t change the fact that i’m in my mid-50s. With two seriously herniated discs in my neck, in which I can barely turn my head, one punch to my face would probably be enough to put me down. The pain would radiate down my arm and i probably wouldn’t be able to raise it. I agree 50.1% OTOH, if I gauge the situation in my favor then holding the perp until LE arrives then the perp is caught. If using stolen vehicle, yadda yadda then perp goes off to do other bad things. Thursday will now NOT be our heated day, it has company, today 108, that means 110+. Will be removing all aerosols from the Dodge today. Current Drama is rolling power outages, this state su cks. Iv NO problem firing up the Honda Gensets and plugging in the 5th wheel AC.
