Moderators dtel Posted November 6, 2018 Moderators Share Posted November 6, 2018 To tell the truth, it was really rough and to then spend a few hours celebrating Halloween which we normally never do since the kids are grown. I was toast but the rocking boat just made it even funnier. Luckily I don't get seasick, this was the test for sure. No helipad, funny you say that this was the 13th time we have gone on a ship and on this trip we seen something new. It was a rescue for someone apparently in trouble, we were about in the middle of the Gulf and a helicopter picked someone from the ship. These people are amazing, this guy held this helicopter dead steady over a moving ship in about 40 mph winds to lower down 2 men and a stretcher then lifts up the patient and one man than the last man. The whole thing lasted about 45 minutes and this guy was an amazing pilot, and the guys who were dropped down were brave, to say the least. I took a bunch of pic's of it and when he flew off on the side of the pilot's door it had his name and that he has been doing this for 35 years, it looked like it. This was the back of the ship, it's hard to tell the scale in the pic, I was about 2/3 of the way to the back, the ship is 1002' long. 5 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ran themselves nuts trying to see"the sights"...Told her they missed the whole purpose of going there. Tourists lol at least they didn't get a room at one of those all inclusive resorts.... and stay on the grounds All you need is a clean bed and a shower with hot water. You aren't gonna be inside but to sleep and bathe... We have done this enough we do none of the things going on in the ship, no shows no clubs just take a break. Never even went to see what was going on with 90% of the ship, never even went to dinner at night, just ate somewhere else on the boat. On the islands, we just go to our favorite places to swim and snorkel have drinks and eat.
