… o O (since we're talking about the garage) consider a condensation drain pipe from the a/c unit - to a sump pump well, for a backyard sprinkler invention.... you still have time to put a conduit branch in there 🙂 … o O (no reason to sleep when a crew is scheduled for tomorrow)

edit explanation lol - well is a sunken 5 gallon bucket with a proximity sensor...  (a screen over the top to keep your dog from lickin' it dry) the submerged pump could be a low voltage pond unit... the sprinkler system could be 3/8" poly tubing mist system.... just an idea before the garage (the drive in yeti) is sprayed with open cell foam EVERYWHERE... during a dry January...

If you look strictly at R value per dollar open cell has a slight edge.

R value is only that. How much a given thickness insulates in a laboratory measurement. In the real world the effect of foam insulation is more complicated. Because it seals all the leaks in the building envelope if applied correctly. I've lived in a fiberglass bat insulated home and a now a foam insulated home. The difference is night and day. Of course you knew all this already.
