don't forget it is REQUIRED by law here

Huh...I guess I'm kind of surprised it's not required out here in Crazy California. I toyed with the idea of plumbing my house with a grey water system when I built. But when the plumber told me how much extra $ and would not guarantee that the inspectors would not find it and make me tear it out I said forget it. Grey water systems are not allowed here by code.

It's what I did a long time ago, everything except toilet bypasses the septic tank and into the field drain. When we added on much later I was too lazy to try to tie into field drain and just added it to the tank for the second bathroom, close enough for a crappy job.

I'm surprised being in crazy California you don't have to bottle it in special containers and bring it to a certified disposal center and pay to leave it and to recycle the containers.

Don’t start talking crap

I do remember one thing.
It took hours and hours but..
By the time I was done with it,
I was so involved, I didn't know what to think.
I carried it around with me for days and days..
Playing little games
Like not looking at it for a whole day
And then... looking at it.
To see if I still liked it.
I did.
I repeat myself when under stress.
I repeat myself when under stress.
I repeat myself when under stress.
I repeat myself when under stress.
I repeat...
The more I look at it,
The more I like it.
I do think it's good.
The fact is..
No matter how closely I study it,
No matter how I take it apart,
No matter how I break it down,
It remains consistent.
I wish you were here to see it.
I like it.

When I moved into my last house in '93, everything went into the septic except the washing machine. It ran under the driveway into a runoff ditch on the neighbors property. Wife called the county after a couple of years to ask about it. He said that it should be in the septic but they wouldn't come looking unless there was a complaint.

Before we moved in 2014, I had it reconnected for the new owner. My neighbor casually mentioned it and I laughed and told him it was already moved.

Still live in the county and I think the washer here goes someplace else, too. 😐

Can we delete this text before it becomes law?

Too late, but it hasn't gone into effect yet, they're trying to figure out how to combine it with the new sunshine and air tax.

Thanks, I was wondering why they fixed that pothole down the street. :emotion-21:

Keep it greasy so it'll go down easy
Roll it over 'n grease it down

And I know a few that need to ease it behind
All y'gotta do is grease it down
'N everything is fine
