Holy Batmobile!

It's the year of the tornado around here now, I've dubbed it that. From the time in Feb when the storm came up when I was at the record store and it was dark as midnight at lunchtime. To the time a month ago when some pretty good thunderstorms rolled through and we had three different warnings that night.

Then now partly cloudy warm and humid. 4:00 warnings start going off on the phones, at 4:10 they said it got here and we heard that roaring for five minutes at least. It was at least a mile or so away but sounded like... I don't know if it was on the ground or just a funnel cloud but it was one or the other.

Heard a couple sirens but nothing on the news yet. If it was on the ground for that long there are people hurt, we're not stacked up like Boston but there is population density here. It's headed east @joessportster cleared us fifteen minutes ago.

I don't know about that...

... I knew/worked with a guy that put vodka in his coffee.  I wouldn't recommend vodka in coffee.

I had an idea for a beverage.  Carbonated coffee.  Since I am incapable of an original thought .... I bet someone has already done it.

"30 years removed from it "

... what?

Wake and bake or being called a stoner?

1989 the year of my first and only white chips, quit going to aa and then started na.

I was a case a night beer drinker or a fifth of bourbon or rum. Any more than that and I couldn't function the next day.

Burned all my friendships and much more so I did quit for a long time.

10 minutes ago, NADman said:

Apparently Charlie Daniels had time for both.

Funky???

Never heard him called that.

That was our neighborhood theme song, that and "Arrested For Driving While Blind"

*Don't forget, we played pigs & freaks.... not cops & robbers.

Officers would confiscate, freaks would escape and attack and everyone would get a buzz anyhow!

Congrats on all the years of sobriety.

last time I was near a tornado was in IN. I was working at a window factory.

It was just the shipping dept in the building.... I was in the plant and looked out the ventilator.... The light coming in was that pea soup green. I opted for being outdoors, away from all the extruded aluminum and glass
