I use the Cleanbox also just how you describe, RCA to XLR increases the voltage, works great to line match pro to consumer equipment, with NO added noise. Just have to be careful with the knob not to overdo it as I quickly found out. If I were closer I have a few extra XLR cables and XLR to RCA.

Very cool, but I would think it's not just a garage system, more of the whole neighborhood's system, if they want it or not.

If you like them you'll save up for a pair like I did. Took me a while. As far as the martinis go, it's possible you've never had a good one.

I can save up, but the normal process (for me) is to justify the purchase by reducing my somewhat ridiculous (anywhere other than here) inventory to fund a portion of the cash outlay. I was just surprised (naïve) as to how much I would have purge to come somewhat close to the purchase price. As for the "good" martini, I'm not really on the hunt for another vice. But thanks.
CECAA850
The temperature was up over 70 and the humidity skyrocketed. Switched from bourbon to a martini. Been a while but it sure was nice. Popped open a bottle of Chopin for the occasion.
WillyBob
I got one you all will appreciate. Granddaughter was over. I play music for her ... at levels grandma wouldn't approve of... rattle stuff off the shelves. Grandma was home and had it turned down to grandma's taste. Kid walks over to the speaker, "Grandpa, this one isn't working"..... someone forgot to turn the heat on. Bluebird skies, light breeze and is topping out at 50`. A cold day in the desert SW... I am cuddled up to the woodstove. 3

richieb
Sixty-one in KC today, a great break from three weeks of damn cold weather. Plenty of moisture too, streets damp most of the day. Looks like a much warmer week ahead than what we've been having.
