grasshopper
Kinda looks like me ... washed up on the beach after a hard day of body surfing. Mornin' All We almost got rain yesterday. It made a few spots on the windshield... es todo. The wind blew and the temp dropped.... from 102` to 98` You can really feel the difference -- not. If it rains, the temp will drop from 100` to... well, the dew point will be around 55`. Dumb Q concern "weather". When does the "wind chill" start working the opposite? I can tell you that riding a motorcycle in 100` isn't bad. .. 105`+ feels like you are sitting in front of a furnace. It ceases being fun. Gonna be warm again today. Didn't cool off much last night. There are a few clouds. They will burn off. they say we have a chance for rain thru Tues? Chance are 10 - 20% 2
JohnJ
Almost Huh? We got another inch or two hard enough to wash mud off the sides of your truck ( miss my Silverado)! It's been two weeks I've got the mower out knocked the dry grass out of the filter, back will be driest first. Don't think I'll use the bag today set it to mulch, then kill the dandelion that's coming from across the street. 2
Moderators dtel Posted May 30, 2020 Moderators Share Posted May 30, 2020 Tarheel, is that a alligator or crocodile, just wondering ? Around this area you never see a alligator in salt water. 4 hours ago, grasshopper said: The wind blew and the temp dropped.... from 102` to 98` I don't think that should be on any list for a temp drop, and were not into June yet, that's crazy. You need to make a solar oven, in a month or two it might be faster than a microwave. 2

I can [almost] cook in the Weber w/o a fire and closing the lid. It prolly gets up to slow smoke temps. The surface temps [on the bare foot] will go 150`. I had thought about using a sat dish [pointed at the sun] to smelt metal/s.... A friend was talking about building a solar still. 1

grasshopper
We like last names and how they tend to describe a persons' background. Like Miller, Baker, Smith. My last name has its roots in iron, in some way. Maybe to describe our heads. Beyond simply hard. I have a friend who's last name is Potter. Not into ceramics... a stoner then I think about some .... one in particular, makes me wonder --- Hancock

There was a low spot that would puddle. Serious puddle. Toads would lay eggs in it.... I would wade [ankle deep] in with a weedeater. Have fun making a big mess of myself. if a puddle will hold water for 10 days, that is enough to get from egg to toadlet...
